French Design Classic: Jean Prouvé, Grand Repos D80 by Tecta, 1980s

The D80 lounge chair (also called the Machine Chair) was originally designed during the 1920s by Jean Prouvé for his own use: The chair is built up in metal, with a leather seat stretched over a frame that can be changed position due to the spring mechanism on the underside. The lounge chair was brought into production during the 1980s by the Tecta (Germany) with a limited production run of 1000 pieces. Origination: Germany, 1980s. Condition: Very good, minor signs of use as per images. Spring mechanism fully functional. Materials: metal, leather Approximate Dimensions: Width: 64 cm Depth: 110 cm Height: 92 cm.
