19th Century Louis Phllippe Style Oak Writing Table or Desk

About the Item

Handsome 19th century writing table or desk made in the French Louis Philippe taste. Crafted from oak with quarter sawn top planks having round corners and an ogee edge. The table is fronted by a single drawer and has a decorative reeded apron on all sides. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship with whimsical turned legs ending with round feet. Ample leg room measuring nearly 24 inches from the floor to the apron. Very attractive warm finish that showcases the lovely oak woodgrain patterns. Finished on all sides this table could also serve as a country French dining table.
