The Stool is the central piece of the Boudins Collection, a series of handcrafted functional objects that surprise and stand out by their sculptural shapes and transparent colorful palette. The Boudins pieces are iconic, yet functional and easily find their place in our daily living environments.
The Stool stands at the crossroads of luxury and playfulness. It is entirely made out of glass transparent resin which creates distortions and reflections of the surrounding environment. Poul Kjærholm (1929–1980) the praised Danish designer, the "furniture architect", designed the emblematic PK22 Chair in 1956. Standing out from the other Danish mid century designers, his predilection material wasn't wood but steel.
This PK22 gets its outstanding comfort from the cowhide which is floating above the metal structure, thanks to the curved crossbars that holds the feet together without interfering with the seat's ergonomy. The obviously powerful and effective design speaks for itself, fitting perfectly a more intimate space needing structure and discretion thanks to the thin and light side view, as well as larger rooms thanks to the wide seat and backrest creating subtle geometric shapes.

Surveyors in southern Italy accidentally unearthed parts of an ancient Roman city, buried in layers of volcanic ash. The discovery of Pompeii and Herculaneum sparked a cultural obsession with all things Greek and Roman. In art, neoclassical sculpture flourished.
