It has a classic retro design with semi-hooded lugs and a distinctive navy blue dial with "wide boy" markers. Our photos couldn't do it justice! It has a technical dial with 1/5 markings that served the precision timing needs of men in technical, military, sporting, and racing fields. Unlike most Seamasters from the era which were automatic, this reference was powered by Omega's uncommon caliber 613 handwound movement. The thinner movement allows for a thinner case than with automatic Seamasters. And while all of the calibers in the 600 series aren't particularly common in vintage Seamasters, the 613 with its quick-setting date is particularly uncommon. It has a monocoque - or one piece - case which originally insured water resistance and a slim, elegant profile. The case when new achieved high water resistance ratings by not having a separate case back. It measures approx. 35mm in diameter without the crown, in between the size of a Rolex Date and a Rolex Datejust. It has all of its original parts and has just finished a true expertly done restoration. It presents in gorgeous condition - a 9.6 out of 10. Our photos couldn't do it justice. Its case presents as mint with only light signs of previous polishing to the back and very light remnants of wear to the back from the buckle contacting it. Despite what our photos seem to suggest, all of the original markings on the back are intact. Its original Omega dial has been meticulously custom refinished in navy blue - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye. A Master Watchmaker has overhauled the uncommon movement which was originally adjusted to two positions. It is running extremely strong and true, keeping time on par with a new Omega in our testing recording position. For the finishing touch, a new aftermarket leather strap and aftermarket Omega style buckle has been installed making it ready for immediate enjoyment. Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to the watch's performance.
