1stdibs dealers Eccola, Noho Modern and Rewire are proud to participate in the showcase of the first WIRED LivingHome, constructed in Crestwood Hills, a protected modernist community of architecturally significant homes in Los Angeles, California.  The showcase home serves as an example of how people can effectively balance green living with elegant high design.

Open to the public through November 18th, the WIRED LivingHome addresses the conscientious market's desire for healthy sustainable living.  The house was built of 75% recycled materials and is anticipated to be 36% more energy efficient than a conventional residence of similar size.

The WIRED LivingHome features cutting-edge technology throughout, with a focus on automation and simplicity. The virtually invisible automation system will enable smart lighting, communications, temperature control, security and a home theatre to all work together through both in-home and over-the-web remote control technology.

Acclaimed designers, Joe Lucas and partner Parrish Chilcoat, are the exclusive interior design team for the project.  Their fresh, West Hollywood boutique firm, Lucas Design Studio,  specializes in creating comfortable and chic living spaces with consideration to sustainabilty. Their collaboration with the sponsors of WIRED LivingHome has won praise in their utilization of sustainable resources without sacrifice to refined aesthetics.

Priced at $300/sf, the house is designed to set the standard for conscious living for the next generation.  It features high-end sustainable and modernist furnishings that demonstrate the highest level of design while still respecting the earth.

A percentage of proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Global Green USA, a national leader in fighting for solutions to global warming, and to Enterprise, a national leader in providing sustainable housing to low income communities.
