Hans J. Wegner Peacock Chair for Johannes Hansen

About the Item

Designed in 1947, this fully restored Hans Wegner peacock chair features Windsor chair styling and characteristic attention to detail. The solid oak and teak frame has a high, arched back strung with round wooden supports that flatten where the chair meets the sitter's shoulder blades. The seat is woven with Danish paper cord and features contrasting round wooden pegs. The four angled legs of the chair base are slightly rounded and tapered. 2 available. Dimensions 30" width x 29.75" depth x 41.25" height; 14.25" seat height, 24.5" arm height Condition Excellent restored condition with new paper cord woven according to the original design.
