Country Style Painted Two-Door Buffet with Distressed Orange and Off-White Color
Located in Yonkers, NY
A Country style two-door buffet from the Midcentury period with distressed orange and off-white hand-painted color. Experience the charm and warmth of this Country style two-door buffet from the Midcentury period, a piece that beautifully showcases the allure of distressed hand-painted finishes. This buffet, with its striking orange and off-white color palette, offers a rustic yet vibrant addition to any interior space.
The main body of the buffet is adorned in a distressed orange hue, lending it a rich, warm character that feels both inviting and lived-in. This effect is beautifully contrasted by the off-white painted central panel, adding a touch of brightness and visual interest. The distressed yellow surrounding the panel further enhances the buffet's rustic appeal, creating a harmonious blend of colors.

Tianjin Style Sideboard With Original Patina and Original Hardware
Located in Chicago, IL
An exceptionally original 19th century household storage coffer in the Tianjin Style. Tianjin is a large city in Northeast China that acts as the port of Beijing. It was a prosperous city and the furniture made there was known for is solidity and clean, balanced lines.
Tianjin storage chests typically feature heavy brass handles and lock plates. All hardware on this chest is original and the patina on the wood is aged and lovely; natural oxblood lacquer, which has rubbed off in some areas and darkened in other areas due to more than a century of use. Tianjin chests usually have three large drawers across the top two large doors below. The piece was probably part of a dowry and exhibited in a highly visible part of the home. The whitish deposits on the legs suggest that the piece sat on a terra cotta...

Eliseo - Large Avant-garde Mexican Hardwood and Leather, Anthropomorphic Buffet
By Comité de Proyectos, Higareda
Located in colima, MX
This unique case piece is inspired by the "Apsasû" representing the female counterpart of the majestic Assyrian "Lamassu", -- imposing winged-human-bull statues renowned for their protective duty. Crafted as an exclusive spin-off edition of the "Centinelas" collection, which delves in to the themes of care, safekeeping and protection as essential human endeavors for sustaining, perpetuating and restoring our world.
Our intention was to append this collection with our own fascination for comprehending the human experience, gender roles, and our historical context. Apsasu and Lamassu, revered as protective deities, embodied the essence of all life. They would appear to stand and walk, had human heads denoting intelligence, bull bodies...
