Events Coordinator

At 1stdibs, the Events team brings the site to life through strategic marketing moments, and we are seeking an Associate to work on the planning and execution. In this role, you will collaborate with the 1stdibs Event Team, reporting to the Event Manager, to produce client-facing, consumer-driven events around the world.

We are an enthusiastic, hard working team which produces approximately 50+ events per year. Our events target specific markets and audiences within the design and luxury industry. “What did we do last year?” is not a question our team asks one another, instead, we aim to elevate and differentiate ourselves from our competition and support our evolving brand. Our constant goals are to improve brand awareness while supporting the consumer, dealer and designer community, while positioning ourselves as leaders in the luxury industry. Creativity, enthusiasm and flexibility are extremely important to our team dynamic. From exploring the newest venues to procuring the latest food trend, it’s imperative that we are in the “know” of the industry and keep one another up to date.


What you’ll do

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal departments and external suppliers
  • Facilitate site visits, spec details and build venue recommendations
  • Contribute to management of event calendars, communications, reporting and debrief recaps
  • Assist production and execution of domestic seminar series
  • Track spend within budget and assure vendors are paid on time
  • Assist manager with event details and on-site execution
  • Collaboratively monitor and track partner contributions  
  • Guest list management; track guest rsvps, ensure information is accurate
  • Be responsible for accurate and timely budgeting and reconciliation of events
  • Execute internal communications across teams
  • Moderate travel
  • Vendor management - collecting and filing all necessary forms
  • Create event documents (run of shows, shot list, face sheet)
  • Internal team travel arrangements
  • Supply and inventory management; swag, giveaways, supplies as needed for other teams
  • Responsible for supply shipping and tracking for in-market events
  • Compile monthly team expense report and receipts
  • Track weekly team meeting agendas and tasks
  • Report to Events Manager

Not a requirement, but a huge plus

  • Familiarity using Splash / Event Farm, SalesForce, Google applications, and general marketing and event software
  • Working knowledge of venues, vendors and suppliers in top US and EU cities
  • Awareness of design vocabulary, industry notables and influencers
