As Sales Director at 1stDibs, you will be responsible for meeting / exceeding our new seller growth targets as well as our on site advertising revenue. In this role, you will manage a global team of sales executives handling both qualified inbound opportunities as well as outbound prospects. Your expertise will help us continually optimize the sales funnel at each step to ensure the most effective path to reaching our targets. The ideal candidate is highly driven, motivational, and organized.
What you'll do:
- Exceed monthly, quarterly growth targets and stay on top of quarterly forecasts
- Lead sales team to ensure effective pipeline management in order to meet company goals and objectives
- Work with cross-functional teams to continually optimize the sales funnel including operations processes/support and sales collateral optimizations with product marketing
- Say it with data! Know the key inputs to make sure your team is meeting or beating forecasts
- Understand our categories and make recommendations to influence our future growth in these categories
- Position solutions against competitive offerings in the market
- Attend industry events as a key component of outbound prospecting activity
What you’ll bring:
- 5+ years of experience leading a sales team to achieve company-wide targets
- Track record in hiring, developing, and retaining a motivated team
- A solid understanding of CRMs and sales enablement tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, and Autopilot
- Highly motivated and results-driven self-starter who operates with a sense of urgency and values accountability
- Strong verbal and written communication, time management, organizational as well as presentation skills as well as outstanding people skills
- Team player who will thrive in our fluid, fast-paced, dynamic, scaling environment
- Solid sales foundation built through sales training and practical experience
- Diplomatic in approach with an ability to work with people at every level in the business from inside sales to C-Suite
- An ability to quickly put ideas into a tangible format, with the confidence to drive them through the business
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration in a matrixed organization
