Senior Marketing Associate, Email

We are hiring a Senior Marketing Associate to help create a more personalized experience for our customers that drives more engagement and sales of The Most Beautiful Things on Earth. In this role you’ll focus on optimizing the 1stdibs email program across lifecycle, triggered, promotional and transactional communications, with opportunities to grow into other marketing channels including direct mail, live chat and more.

 

What you’ll do

  • Lead development of email campaigns from strategy to partnering with in-house creative team on design, to managing execution, and performing post-send reporting and analysis
  • Develop strategy for daily and automated email campaigns that optimize deliverability, opens, click-through rates, conversion rates, and sales
  • Manage the promotional email newsletter calendar to consistently deliver creative concepts that engage our audience while growing the 1stdibs brand
  • Work with marketing operations team to ensure they execute email campaigns flawlessly
  • Leverage internal and external data for segmentation, A/B testing, and personalization purposes
  • Identify target customer segments and deploy personalized email campaigns based on browsing and shopping behavior
  • Communicate analysis of email performance on a regular basis at the channel and campaign level so we can apply those learning to other relevant channels (i.e. remarketing, direct mail, etc.)
  • Collaborate with creative, copy, merchandising, and editorial on day-to-day basis
  • Partner with product and user experience teams to develop seamless customer experiences across our website, app and email.

What you’ll bring

  • Enthusiasm for marketing and a track record of success
  • A desire to learn new things and make a difference at a growing company
  • 2-3 years working in a hands-on email marketing role (ExactTarget and/or Bluecore preferred but not required)
  • Strong understanding of email and customer lifecycle marketing strategy
  • Ability to analyze data and draw actionable conclusions
  • Advanced skills in Excel or Google Sheets
  • A love for getting the details right and staying organized
  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal skills
