Senior Strategic Finance Analyst

 We are seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to join the high performing Strategic Finance department. The Strategic Finance team leads the Financial Planning & Analysis, Business Partnering, Financing, Investor Relations responsibilities and works closely with Senior Executives cross-function. In this highly visible role you will need to have exceptional quantitative skills, keen attention to detail and an eagerness to learn and make impacts.

Your diligent work will provide our management team and investors with financial insights on our performance and enable us to see opportunities for accelerating growth and allocate investment efficiently.

As a critical member of our organization, you will have significant exposure to senior leadership and have the opportunity to really impact our business goals.

 

What you'll do

Forecasting and Budgeting

  • Lead the monthly and quarterly financial revenue and cost reporting process to identify key trends
  • Handle the budget and forecasting processes and analysis, involving frequent interactions with executives and business owners
  • Assist in developing the company’s annual budget at a department and strategic initiative level
  • Develop long term forecast for the company
  • Monitor accuracy and predictability of existing financial models

Reporting and Relationships

  • Monitor performance indicators and analyzing causes for variance
  • Perform ROI analyses
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations to company’s senior executives and external partners including the Board and other investors
  • Collaborate with partners across the company to develop key metrics and KPIs. Act as a financial thought leader to the business

Business Analysis

  • Build scenario models to evaluate and prioritize strategic plan
  • Provide insightful, fact-based data analysis to craft effective solutions that align with company objectives, issues, and root causes
  • Support management by providing understanding of financial metrics and their drivers
  • Make recommendations for continual operational improvement

 What you'll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business or other related quantitative field
  • Minimum 2-3 years work experience in consulting, banking, or other quantitative role
  • Expert in Excel
  • MBA/CFA/CPA a plus
  • Strong quantitative background
  • Interest in the start-up/ecommerce world
  • Comfortable working with different stakeholders across the company
  • Excellent creativity, problem solving and strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Independent self-starter requiring little direct supervision
