Olga Antonova "Blue Art Nouveau Vase with Gold Metal Trim and Blue and White Flowers" Oil on Canvas 26 x 26 Inches Olga Antonova’s subject is compositions of extraordinarily elegant, beautiful and whimsical cups, plates, teapots, vases and dishes, but there is something playful about these paintings Stacked teacups are also amusing, having a kind of jaunty and upbeat personality of their own. Polka dots are as endearing to adults as to children, and everyone responds to the bling and sparkle of gold and silver while marveling at Antonova’s seemingly effortless ability to paint these radiant details. The lovely informality of the blue and white floral pattern on this vase is offset by the sparkly and highly detailed gold trim at the top and bottom. This painting is unframed. Antonova's paintings can be installed individually, they also work well in groupings as part of a series. Commissions incorporating one’s own personal collection of family heirlooms is also an option. Olga Antonova est née à Volgograd, en Russie, en 1956 et a obtenu son diplôme à l'Académie russe des Beaux-Arts de Saint-Pétersbourg en 1980. Peu après son diplôme, elle a immigré aux États-Unis et réside dans la région de Boston depuis de nombreuses années. Her works have been exhibited in 34 solo exhibitions and in over 60 group shows in the US and Europe, articles have regularly appeared in “The Boston Globe,” “American Art Collector,” “Art News” and “The Boston Herald,” and her works are included in numerous private and public collections including the Jane Voorhees Zimmerli Museum, Rutgers University. Antonova est également lauréate d'une bourse d'artiste en art visuel décernée par la ville de Sacramento, CA. Olga Antonova est représentée par la Beth Urdang Gallery depuis 2006.
