Untitled #2/ Tied series, Handmade Abstract Sculpture
Located in Boston, MA
Untitled #2/ Tied series 10.0 x 16.0 x 0.5, 1.0 lbs Handmade paper Hand signed by artist Artist's Commentary: "'Tied', the title of the installation series, is a phonetic pun on the rising tides and the paper pages bound by threads.
As the water rises and falls, pages of our daily experience add and subtract to and from our memory. Our daily life permeates our memory just as the ink is absorbed into each page and create new shapes and patterns onto what once was a clean slate of a blank page." About the Artist: Yoonshin Park is a Chicago based multimedia artist, curator, and educator working with sculptural papers, artist books, and installations. Her interest in the comprehensive process of papermaking and bookbinding caters her work to encompass various elements woven into complete objects. She often uses her experience as a foreign transplant to question space and its implications in defining one's identity as the inspiration behind her work. Park has shown at the Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art, Hyde Park Art Center...

Rare Salvador Dali Surrealist 3D Pop Up Etching Engraving Paper Sculpture 1973
Located in Surfside, FL
Genre: Surrealism Subject: people, architecture rendering Medium: Etching Surface: Paper Salvador Dali (Spanish, 1904-1989) I believe the title is L'Immortalite de L'Imperialisme Genetique, 1973, From Dix Recettes d'Immortalité, Published by Audouin-Descharnes, Paris, (Michler & Löpsinger 567-577) 3-Dimensional pop-up etching on stiff wove paper, (etchings with drypoint and heliogravure). Pencil hand signed lower right and pencil numbered 100/210 lower left. On Auvergne paper. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Galerie Michael, Beverly Hills, CA Open: 13 1/2" x 30 1/2" x 22" it folds flat and closes like a pop up birthday card. It can be displayed in a plexiglass case like a Charles Fazzino or Red Grooms artwork. Salvador Dali Biography 1904-1989 Salvador Dali is considered as the greatest original artist of the surrealist art movement and one of the greatest masters of art of the twentieth century. Dali began to study art at the Royal Academy of Art in Madrid. He was expelled twice and never took the final examinations. His opinion was that he was more qualified than those who should have examined him. Surreal Art In 1928 Dali went to Paris where he met the Spanish painters Pablo Picasso and Joan Miro. He established himself as the principal figure of a group of surrealist artists grouped around Andre Breton, who was something like the theoretical "schoolmaster" of surrealism. Years later Breton turned away from Dali accusing him of support of fascism, excessive self-presentation and financial greediness. By 1929 Dali had found his personal style that should make him famous - the world of the unconscious that is recalled during our dreams. The surrealist theory is based on the theories of the psychologist Dr. Sigmund Freud. Recurring images of burning giraffes and melting watches...

Shaped Collage Painting in Carved Wood Frame Iranian American Contemporary Art
Located in Surfside, FL
Andisheh Avini Iranian-American (b. 1974) Untitled III (2007) Collage of Arabic or Persian Islamic calligraphic script texts. Artist shaped frame Signature stamp and I-20 (New York) gallery label verso Image: 25.25" H x 18.5" W; frame: 27.5" H x 21" W x 1.5" D. Andisheh Avini was born in 1974 in New York. Educated at Hunter College in New York, he has shown consistently in solo and group exhibitions since 2002, including locations in New York, Berlin, Los Angeles, Basel, Madrid and Paris. He currently lives and works in New York. Through his abstract paintings, drawings and sculptures he finds the sweet spot where minimalism, Pop Art, and the political collide. Andisheh Avini is known for his patterned silkscreen painting created on carpet and wood, which are informed by the history and culture of Iran. Avini frequently takes familiar political images and recontextualizes them, prompting the viewer to consider Middle Eastern politics from another perspective. Blending the visual vocabulary of his Iranian heritage with aesthetic and material experimentation, Avini’s work offers a meditation on the experiences and memories that shape our identities. He has used a variety of exotic materials including marquetry or Khatam – a traditional Iranian craft of inlaid wood, crystalline protrusions of actual minerals, peacock feathers, mother-of-pearl and parchment often in abstract geometric compositions, mediums associated with traditional Persian craft— with nods towards Minimalism, Abstract Expressionism, and other Western art movements. He has shown in many prominent galleries including solo exhibitions at Marianne Boesky Gallery (New York), Galerie Frank...

"Salon 13" is a collection of 13 small mixed media pieces with electric lighting
Located in Toronto, Ontario
“Salon (13)“ is a collection of 13 small-scale works by artist Heather Nicol. The installation of 13 assemblages is variable. The artist will personally consult with the buyer and can be on site for the installation. The 13 mixed media pieces include delicate lighting elements that shift and change via arduino electronic devices, or utilize picture lights throwing a soft roll of light across the artwork. These works are linked through their wiring, which is enveloped in a white umbilical cord-like fabric casing, creating an organic, unifying code of display. Heather Nicol is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice includes immersive sound installation, small-scale discrete object making, and independent curating. Her large site-specific interventions explore the architectural, sonic, historic and operational conditions across a wide range of locations. These include concourse atriums, rail terminus, lobbies, a theatre, a public school building, a theme park...

Located in Surfside, FL
Thomas Edward Nozkowski (American, 1944-2019). Original mixed media abstract composition art utilizing colored rock gravel. Titled, "Gravel Piece." Hand signed on verso, dated 5/73. Provenance: Collection of the Bass Museum of Art, Miami Beach, Florida (Museum Inventory No. t.13.2000.053.) Thomas Nozkowski was an American contemporary painter. He achieved a place of prominence through his small scale paintings and drawings that push the limits of visual language. His work appeared in more than 300 exhibitions over the past 40 years. He had more than 70 solo exhibitions, and 24 of his paintings were featured in a large-scale retrospective in 1987 at Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, DC Nozkowski was born in Teaneck, New Jersey and raised in Dumont, where he graduated from Dumont High School in 1961. He spent his youth in the New Jersey suburbs, admiring New York culture from afar before moving there after graduating high school. His father worked in an Alcoa Aluminum factory and then as a postman. His mother worked in factories and as a bookkeeper. One of his aunts was a schoolteacher who gave him and his younger sister art supplies. When he was a senior in high school he won a scholarship to attend a painting class at New York University's School of Education, where he studied with Robert Kaupelis and Hale Woodruff. While he earned his BFA at Cooper Union, Nozkowski was making sculpture. He graduated in 1967. He later transitioned to large scale abstract expressionist painting, and exhibited some of his earliest works in group shows at the storied Betty Parsons Gallery. Richard Tuttle had his first show a year after he began assisting Betty Parsons. Thomas Nozkowski worked for her after graduating from Cooper Union. Between 1949 and 1951. In the course of 36 years, the Betty Parsons Gallery mounted important early shows of Robert Rauschenberg, Kenzo Okada...

Richard Klein, Johnson Hs. & Guest Hs. General View (2024), Ed 2/3, replica
Located in Darien, CT
In the mid 1990s Richard Klein started working with found glass objects, including bottles, drinking glasses, ashtrays, and eyeglasses. Initially, Klein rejected any object with commercial or advertising content, but in 2015 he became fascinated with the promotional content that was screen printed on ashtrays from the 1950s, 1960s and early 1970s. This period was before smoking was looked at as being primarily a negative habit, and iconic American businesses, including Howard Johnson’s, International House of Pancakes (iHop) and Holiday Inn, all produced promotional ashtrays printed with their graphic identity. By the time Klein became interested in these objects, the businesses had either ceased to exist, or had changed their logos, and many of their signature buildings, which where examples of classic, “Pop” roadside architecture, has been torn down or repurposed. The artist wanted to connect the glass objects with the business’s sites that were still recognizable and spoke of their history, so he began researching where original buildings still stood. Klein then embarked on a series of road trips to photograph these sites with the intention of combining the photographs with the promotional glass objects. This led him to as far south as Maryland and as far north as upstate New York from his home in Connecticut. Johnson Hs. & Guest Hs. is an exact replica of an art history slide made in the 1950s picturing Philip Johnson’s Glass House. The slide has been replicated digitally on a much larger scale (23” x 23”) and like the original is made of a cardboard mount that contains a color transparency. The original slide is faded from years of use and most of the color, other than red, has been bleached out. Richard Klein is a Connecticut-based artist, independent curator and writer. As an artist, he has exhibited widely, including the Neuberger Museum of Art at SUNY Purchase; Caren Golden Fine Art, New York; the John Michael Kohler Arts Center, Sheboygan, WI; Hales Gallery, London; Gavlak Gallery, Palm Beach, FL; deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum, Lincoln, MA; James Barron Art, Kent, CT; The Portland Institute of Contemporary Art (PICA), Portland, OR; Schoolhouse Gallery, Provincetown, MA; Stephan Stoyanov Gallery, NY; Katonah Museum of Art, Katonah, NY; Brattleboro Museum and Art Center, Brattleboro, VT; Ortega y Gasset Projects, Brooklyn, NY; Exhibit by Alberson Tulsa, OK; Incident Report/Flow Chart Foundation, Hudson, NY; ICEHOUSE Project Space, Sharon, CT; Kenise Barnes Fine Art in Kent, CT and with ODETTA Gallery at the Equity Gallery in New York City.. Reviews of his work have appeared in Two Coats of Paint, Whitehot Magazine, The New York Times, Sculpture Magazine, Art in America, and The New Yorker. In the summer of 2024 he will be the first Artist-In-Residence at Peck Ledge Light...

Richard Klein, American Glassware, 2010-2024, Found and altered objects
American Glassware (2010-present) which is presented in a small, wall-mounted vitrine. American Glassware is composed of three glass objects: a “souvenir” Walden Pond ashtray made by me as a multiple; a real souvenir ashtray from the 1964-65 New York World’s Fair; and an authentic “Happy Face” drinking glass from the same era. They are all nestled in crumpled, vintage newspaper from 1967, and are presented together in a dilapidated cardboard box, as if they have been found in someone’s attic or basement. Once again, in a similar manner to the Glass House Ashtray, versions of his Walden Pond ashtray (Walden Pond Souvenir) have been injected into the collectable stream of tag sales and flea markets, creating a souvenir that never existed. The ashtray is screenprinted with an image of Thoreau’s cabin on Walden Pond as pictured on the title page of his book Walden, or Life in the Woods (1854).
