L’indigence d’après-guerre et la difficulté inhérente de trouver les matériaux adéquats et/ou habituels, telles les couleurs, très onéreuses alors, ont poussé les artistes figuratifs de l’après-guerre, en corrélation avec les préoccupations de l’époque, à redéfinir les paradigmes de la représentation.
Il n’est plus question de chercher un sens mais bien pour les artistes d'étudier l’objet pour son intérêt formel, sa qualité intrinsèque. Le regard de l’artiste devient analytique et dépeint alors l’objet pour ce qu’il est et non plus pour son pouvoir évocateur ou symbolique.

In 1943, Jacques de Laprade dedicated a book to Roger Limouse in the collection "The Masters of Tomorrow" directed by Francis Carco. He writes, "One of the characteristics of this personality is strength. There is nothing in Limouse that lacks relief. This small and extremely vigorous man seduces by his direct and dru language, by his deep conviction, by the picturesque of his stories, by his very life which testifies to his energy.

Atlanta-based artist, Tim Hunter’s work stems from his love of nature and concern for the environment. In 2003 he began working primarily with images of birds as an expression of his spiritual connection with nature. After reading an article about the declining bird populations in Georgia, he turned his focus to environmental issues. An avid bird watcher, Tim also experienced the heavily wooded area he grew up in, slowly reduced to shopping malls and subdivisions. He uses asphalt and cement to create his works which refer to the loss of habitat due to human expansion, which is one of the main causes of declining bird populations. His silhouettes are taken from Audubon’s series “Birds of America” which references a period in the past when the bird populations in America were more abundant. José Emilio Fuentes Fonseca (JEFF) is a Cuban artist born in 1974 in the province of Granma, graduated from the Higher Institute of Art. His training and work as plastic artist has been developed in the city of Havana, where he currently resides. Jeff at the age of 13 began to study art and his work has been consolidated as a reflection of his experiences.
His production is characterized by creative versatility. They manage to converge within their trajectory sculptural, pictorial, installation pieces, drawings and everything from a variety of formats that range from small to large dimensions.
Jeff's works remain impregnated with an expressive language so warm and diaphanous that they seem to refer with apparent innocence to the world of children. However, an evocative look of dissimilar trascendental themes for man prevails in each of his creations. José Emilio Fuentes Fonseca (JEFF) has been a participant in numerous personal and collective exhibitions since 1994. José Emilio Fuentes Fonseca (JEFF) is a Cuban artist born in 1974 in the province of Granma, graduated from the Higher Institute of Art. His training and work as plastic artist has been developed in the city of Havana, where he currently resides. Jeff at the age of 13 began to study art and his work has been consolidated as a reflection of his experiences.
His production is characterized by creative versatility. They manage to converge within their trajectory sculptural, pictorial, installation pieces, drawings and everything from a variety of formats that range from small to large dimensions.
Jeff's works remain impregnated with an expressive language so warm and diaphanous that they seem to refer with apparent innocence to the world of children. However, an evocative look of dissimilar trascendental themes for man prevails in each of his creations.
