The interior is lined with a quilted floral printed cotton. From the estate and private collection of Peggy Slappey, a well traveled lady who passionately collected textile art from Central Asia. This hat was part of a 2016 exhibit at the Birmingham Museum of Art which displayed textiles from Ms. Slappey's extensive collection. The hat is pictured on page 73 of the catalog which is included.
