Auf Wunsch von Thonet-Mundus wurde Adolf Gustav Schneck um 1928 beauftragt, zwei Sitzmöbel zu entwerfen, die Josef Franks Modelle A 402 & A 403/F zum Vorbild nahmen. Entstanden sind die Modelle A 63 (Sessel) und A 63/F (Armlehnstuhl). Ob es eine Konkurrenz zwischen den beiden Architekten gab, geht aus der Literatur leider nicht hervor. Schneck bildete jedoch Franks Modelle in seinem Buch „Der Stuhl” aus dem Jahre 1928 ohne Namensangabe ab. Interessant wurde Schnecks seltener Entwurf (A 63) aufgrund der Verwendung für die Inneneinrichtung des Wohnhauses Nr. 5 (Haus Häring) der Werkbundsiedlung in Wien, geplant von Architekten Hugo Häring...
