Elizabeth Gage 1993 London Enameled Pendant Brooch In 18Kt Gold With Citrine

Convertible pendant brooch designed by Elizabeth Gage. Magnificent and substantial pendant-brooch, created in London by the British jewelry designer Elizabeth Gage, back in the 1993. This rare and beautiful piece has been crafted as a one of a kind piece in solid rich yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. Designed with geometric motifs and embellished in the center with a great lion's head carved in a single piece of vivid orange citrine. Decorated with a guilloche linear patterns which are topped with applications of translucent orange color enamel. It is fitted at the reverse with hinged bar pin with a trombone security lock to wear as a brooch or as a pendant. Citrine: Mounted in a screw setting, with 1 piece of natural orange citrine carved in the shape of a lion's head, roaring. Onyxes: Mounted in inlaid settings, with 6 round flat cabochon cut carved from natural black onyx. Weight: 49.60 grams (31.79 Dwt.). Measures: 66 mm by 51 mm (2.60 by 2.01 Inches). Hallmarks: Stamped with British marks; the mark of the lion for the city of London, the letter T for the production year of 1993, the mark for the gold assay and signed in full, "©GAGE .750 T. EG SGDG". Elizabeth Gage She is a British jewelry designer and trained master goldsmith who has been creating collectable jewelry for over 50 years. She has been described by the trade as someone "whose large rings, historical references, gorgeous stones and elaborate craftsmanship set the tone for a whole generation". Elizabeth Gage works in 18 and 22 carat gold. Her 'Helios' gold necklace, featured in Tatler magazine, took 203 grams of gold and 93 man hours to create. Elizabeth’s approach to design is as unique as the jewels themselves. She combines different elements in her work which she chooses for their individual beauty; exquisite stones, ancient bronzes, beautiful carvings, baroque pearls, in fact anything where the shape and colour inspire her. Collateral: It is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box. Condition: The overall condition of this piece is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold.
