Les figures s'emboîtent comme des pièces de puzzle en bronze massif coulé avec une patine originale.
Aharon Bezalel (né en Afghanistan en 1926) Né à Herat, en Afghanistan, en 1926, il a immigré en Israël à un âge précoce. Son père, Reuven Bezalel, était rabbin et kabbaliste. Dans sa jeunesse, Aharon a étudié le moulage de l'or et de l'argent ainsi que les arts appliqués et a travaillé dans ces domaines en tant qu'orfèvre et artisan de la judaïque. Il a été l'élève du sculpteur Zev Ben-Zvi à l'Académie Bezalel d'art et de design, où il a également étudié avec Isidor Ascheim et Mordecai Ardon. Il y absorbe les concepts de base de l'art classique et moderniste et interprète, selon eux, des idées basées sur d'anciennes sources hébraïques. Il a également étudié la sculpture de miniatures avec les artistes Martin et Helga Rost en s'appliquant dans leur atelier. Aharon Bezalel a travaillé et résidé à Jérusalem, où il a enseigné l'art pendant de nombreuses années. Ses sculptures - œuvres en bois, bronze, aluminium, plexiglas - ont été exposées dans son studio à Ein Kerem. "Je me voyais comme faisant partie de cette région. Je voulais trouver le contact entre mon art et mon environnement. Ce sont les premières années des fouilles de Jean Piro sur le monticule de Beer-Sheba. Ils y ont trouvé, par exemple, les figurines cananéennes que j'aimais particulièrement et qui étaient un élément qui me reliait au passé et à ce lieu." " Le singulier dans l'œuvre d'Aharon Bezalel est toujours potentiellement un couple, sinon un trio, l'un est aussi le multiple : lorsque l'individu se révèle au sein du groupe, il cherchera toujours un recroquevillement, un accrochage.
Le principe de la construction modulaire est requis par cette perception de l'unité et de la multiplicité, car la construction modulaire dans son travail est un acte de conception ou de défense. Son travail présente une similitude avec Berrocal ainsi que des affinités avec Henry Moore, Lynne Chadwick et Kenneth Armitage. Deux pôles d'unité, potentiellement seuls, existent dans le monde d'A. Bezalel : D'un point de vue formel et sculptural, il s'agit de la sphère et du pilier ; d'un point de vue métaphorique, il s'agit de la femme dans les derniers stades de la grossesse et de l'individu masculin solitaire. Sphère-femme de semence ; Pilier-homme de brin. Les petites têtes disproportionnées des figures d'A. Bezalel laissent l'humanité dans sa capacité physique primitive. La femme comme grossesse ou hanches, l'homme comme force agressive ou défensive, la poitrine allongée sert simultanément de phallus et d'arme.

La collection d'arts graphiques contient des dessins et des œuvres graphiques de Pissaro, Amedeo Modigliani, Jules Pascin, Marc Chagall (presque toute son œuvre graphique) et de nombreux autres artistes. La collection de sculptures comprend des œuvres de sculpteurs juifs du monde entier, y compris de grands sculpteurs israéliens : Ben Zvi, Lishansky, David Palombo, Yehiel Shemi, Aharon Bezalel et Igael Tumarkin. De nombreux sculpteurs juifs du monde entier, à commencer par Mark Antokolsky, sont représentés dans la collection.
