Gaynor Chapman Art
Britannique, 1935-2000
Gaynor Chapman est née à Londres. Elle a étudié à l'Epsom School of Art de 1951 à 1952, à la Kingston School of Art de 1952 à 1955 et au Royal College of Art de 1955 à 1958. Chapman a travaillé principalement comme illustrateur de livres et tuteur en design graphique. Outre son travail pour London Transport, elle a réalisé des conceptions graphiques pour Air France, British Petroleum, Shell et le Central Office of Information. Elle a conçu du papier peint pour A.I.C.I. et une peinture murale de 20 pieds dans le navire S.S. Douvres. Chapman a travaillé sur plusieurs supports, notamment la gouache, la couleur d'affiche, l'encre imperméable et la cire de bougie.
