Graham Sutherland - Impressions abstraites

Graham Sutherland OM était un artiste anglais prolifique. Connu pour ses peintures de paysages abstraits et ses portraits de personnalités, Sutherland a également travaillé dans d'autres domaines, notamment la gravure, la tapisserie et la conception de verre.
La gravure, principalement de paysages romantiques, domine l'œuvre de Sutherland au cours des années 1920. Il a développé son art en travaillant à l'aquarelle avant de passer à la peinture à l'huile dans les années 1940. Une série de peintures à l'huile surréalistes représentant le paysage du Pembrokeshire a assuré sa réputation d'artiste moderne britannique de premier plan.à
