Japonais, b. 1932
Ushio Shinohara, surnommé Gyu-chan, est un artiste néo-dadaïste japonais. Ses œuvres lumineuses et de grande taille ont été exposées dans le monde entier, notamment au Musée d'art contemporain Hara, au Centre Georges Pompidou, au Guggenheim Museum SoHo, au Musée national d'art moderne de Tokyo, à la Leo Castelli Gallery de New York, au Musée d'art contemporain de Los Angeles et à l'exposition "World Goes Pop" de la Tate Modern. Shinohara et sa femme, Noriko, sont les objets d'un film documentaire de Zachary Heinzerling intitulé Cutie and the Boxer (2013).
