Our photos couldn't do it justice! Not only is the case larger than those on many of the "dress Seamasters" - this one measures 35mm without the crown, in between the size of the Rolex Date and Datejust - it also has a manually wound movement. The facets on the lugs give it a real elegance. Although Omega powered the majority of their Seamasters with automatic movements, this Seamasters uses a mechanism from their robust 30 T2 based series. The famous 30 T2 movement gained a reputation for reliability and accurate timekeeping serving the critical timing needs of the world's Armed Forces during World War II. As time progressed Omega added upgrades to the movement such as shock protection and extra jewels - as is the case with the Cal. 286 mechanism found in this watch. It has all of its original parts and has just finished a true expertly done restoration. It presents as gorgeous condition - a 9.7 out of 10. Its case presents as mint. Its Tiffany & Co. blue color dial has been meticulously custom refinished - the printing could pass as factory done to the naked eye. Its original handwound movement has just been freshly fully serviced by a Master Watchmaker. It is running very strong and also true, keeping time more accurately than most new Omega watches. For the finishing touch, we have equipped it with a new leather strap and aftermarket Omega style buckle making it ready for immediate enjoyment. La légende de Omega veut que la Speedmaster Professional Chronograph de la marque ait été la première montre à effectuer un alunissage. Mais l'amour universel pour montres Omega vintage ne se limite pas aux astronomes, et l'héritage de l'entreprise ne se limite pas à l'histoire de la Moonwatch.

Les origines de la maison remontent à 1848, date à laquelle l'horloger suisse Louis Brandt s'est installé pour la première fois. Ses fils Louis-Paul et César ont pris la relève après sa mort et, en 1894, ils ont créé un nouveau mouvement fascinant.

Néanmoins, la plus célèbre des Omega est de loin la Speedmaster , introduite en 1957. Premier chronographe à afficher son échelle tachymétrique sur la lunette et non sur le cadran pour une meilleure lisibilité, il a été rapidement adopté par les ingénieurs et les scientifiques.
