Hazel Avenue

Designed for a young family with four girls, this home uses wallpaper as its defining element - carried beyond accent walls onto ceilings and ombréd down onto walls to turn each room into its own atmosphere, from a peacock-feathered playroom ceiling to a cloud mural bedroom and a floral-cocooned nursery. The heart of the home is the fully custom kitchen and adjoining breakfast room, where a marble archway opens onto walls lined in a dramatic botanical Gucci wallpaper. Throughout, the clients' fearless embrace of bold color, statement marble, and textured pattern gave the design a rare freedom, resulting in a home that is playful, layered, and entirely one-of-a-kind. Anchoring it all is a handmade 132-inch alabaster pendant chandelier that appears to float above the stairwell: sculptural, ethereal, and unmistakably the centerpiece of the home.
