Naples Retreat

Beach House de Bridget Beari Designs à Naples, FL

The new homeowner hired Bridget Beari Designs to renovate her dated Naples, Florida house to reflect her own unique personality and lifestyle. The overall directive was for a calm, contemporary, coastal sanctuary that reflects her memories and travels throughout Indonesia, Mexico and the Mediterranean. We designed custom architectural details to add bespoke character as well as well-appointed amenities specific to the homeowner's needs and desires.

In the main space, the client requested an open concept design that seamlessly and beautifully connects living, kitchen and dining areas. Custom slatted white oak ceiling inlays mimic the interior ceilings of Mexican palapas. We created a decorative kitchen front facing the open layout with a back working kitchen to discreetly maximize counter space and storage. The front counter with comfy-chic swivel stools upholstered in a playful pattern feels like a hip tropical bar. We added a Mediterranean archway to the kitchen entry flanked by custom white oak panels featuring Mexican sunburst cutouts lighted from behind. A custom white plaster hood creates another stunning statement and further recalls Mediterranean architecture. The back kitchen’s custom cabinet inlays continue the white oak and add warm contrast to the bright white details while custom Marakeshian doorways connect the kitchen to the main hallway.

Throughout the house, the palette reflects the Mediterranean as well as Naples’ Gulf of Mexico waters, fine sands, sunsets, and golden sun. Bridget Beari Designs carried the color scheme and theme out to the patio with Moorish tiling, a custom frieze, antique Indonesian bench.
