About the Item
As an artist rooted in New Mexico, I studied Fine Arts at UNM and CNM, carrying forward the legacy of multiple generations of female artists. My work is a meditation on the delicate balance between opposing forces—crude and soft, light and shadow. I’m drawn to the raw beauty of grime and squiggles, the boldness of architecture and contours, and the shifting dynamics of light throughout the day.
For me, the quiet peace of morning solitude is a sacred space—one that offers a breath before chaos and the room to daydream. It’s the emptiness that precedes creation, a moment of stillness where ideas can take form. This is the space I inhabit, where abstract, mixed-media works emerge from a place of contemplation and reflection.
I am perhaps best known for my L Series, a collection that has developed a strong following and often sells out faster than I can create. Based in San Diego, California, I continue to create original paintings and limited-edition prints, offering a blend of raw expression and refined technique in each piece.
