Born in Novi Sad, Serbia in 1983, Valentina is a multi-disciplinary visual artist with a BFA in Graphic Design and an MFA in Illustration from the University of Novi Sad. With over 15 years of experience, her work blends traditional and digital mediums, characterized by bold compositions, vibrant colors, and a unique style often referred to as “new contemporary figuration.” Her art explores human nature, subconscious states, and the interplay between the real and surreal. Brostean specializes in editorial and fashion illustration, using mixed media and collage to create innovative solutions for clients like Armani Exchange, The Washington Post, and Bicycle USA. Her work has appeared in numerous publications and exhibitions worldwide, including Europe, the Middle East, and the United States.
