I really love shrimp.

About the Item

I Really Love Shrimp This work is about desire. Small, funny, seemingly trivial — yet painfully real. It’s about food as a metaphor for something greater: a longing for pleasure, for sensuality, for something unattainable or forbidden. “I really love shrimp” sounds almost absurd in the context of deep inner experiences, but that very banality highlights a contrast — between the body and the spirit, between reality and fantasy, between what is and what’s missing. It’s an ironic confession, where food becomes a fetish, a ritual of comfort, or even a substitute for intimacy. The work plays on the edge of humor and vulnerability, of joke and ache — because it’s in that tension that something true about being human emerges. size of illustration 23-29 cm
