In the fleeting moments of our daily lives, we cross paths with strangers who leave an indelible mark on our souls. The One Time Encounter is a poignant collection of paintings and memoirs that captures the essence of these serendipitous meetings. Like whispers in the wind, these chance encounters leave behind a lingering sense of wonder, a reminder of the beauty and mystery that lies in the uncharted territories of human connection. Through this body of works, I seek to immortalize the magic of these ephemeral moments, where lives intersect and stories unfold, if only for a brief, shimmering instant. (Written by the Artist) Ephraim David Udoka born in 1993, a Native of Akwa-Ibom state, Nigeria, is a self-taught Watercolour, Pencil, and Digital Artist, and a graduate of Theatre Arts. Born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria where he attended primary and secondary school, and then he obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from the University of Uyo, Uyo, Akwa Ibom state, Nigeria. Ephraim worked with W. Africa’s renowned humanitarian Children’s Centre/Orphanage, Land of Hope as a teacher of Fine Arts, mentoring the children gifted in art and expanding their horizons in the fundamentals of drawing. He currently holds the position of Artist in Residence at the America to Africa Higher Education Foundation. Also known for his conceptual themes such as the compelling “Pride in Labour”, “The Local Hairdresser” “Wrapped “, and “The Ndod iba” series rendered in watercolor. With his background in The performing Arts, Ephraim is obsessed with infusing action, composition, and emotions in his Works. Udoka’s work is respected by international collectors.
