Contemporary figurative female nude crayon on paper drawing by Leszek 'Maestro' Zegalski. Artwork depicts a woman laying on her stomach on bed, her hair is long. This drawing is quite dynamic in a way that artist's crayon duct goes. Drawing is signed and dated.
LESZEK ZEGALSKI (born in 1959)
Leszek Zegalski studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice where he was a student of prof. Jerzy Duda-Gracz. In 1982 he moved to Cracow and continued studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. He received his diploma in 1984. Żegalski, together with Janusz Szpyt and Piotr Naliwajko, created an artistic group “Bloated Trio” (Tercet Nadęty). In 1988 he received the Grand Prix in the National Exhibition of Young Art “Arsenal 88” and he moved to Germany . Since 1990 he has been a member of the Association of Realist Painters "Kunstlersonderbund in Deutschland. Realismus der Gegenwart." Currently, he lives in Belgium and Poland. He took part in the most important artistic events in Europe including BIAF Art Fair in Barcelona, Basel Art Fair and the annual exhibition of figurative painting "Figuration Critique" in the Grand Palais in Paris. Zegalski held over 200 individual and collective exhibitions (mainly with the Bloated Trio) in Poland and abroad, among others, in Germany, Holland, Russia, France, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium, Great Britain, Japan, Canada and the United States.
