About the Item
ZOFIA ANNA MISIAK
Zofia Anna Misiak is a contemporary painter from an artistic family. Her parents are Janina Żylińska and Stanisław Misiak. Zofia Anna Misiak graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and L’Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. She developed her painting skills under the supervision of J. Alesiński. Additionally, she learned lithographic techniques from A. Hadad.
Zofia Anna Misiak mainly deals with painting, drawing, lithography. She also creates in other techniques - including collage, painting on glass, wood. She is also the author of spatial forms. She has presented her works at numerous individual and collective exhibitions in Poland and abroad. In 1986, she won the Silver Medal - at the Petit Palais in Paris. In 2006, she was awarded at the Palermo.
Misiak's works can be found in collections in Poland and abroad. The artist is a member of the Association of European Culture "SEC" based in Venice.
Currently, Zofia Anna Misiak continues her series "Galleries on the road" - "secret places, distant countries". In recent years, she has been inspired by travel. She makes drawing notes from many places in the world. These are not only landscapes, but also events, people she meets. The last place that inspired her is Malta - full of secrets and extraordinary nature.
