Pedestrians mill in this 1980s portrayal of Troon House, in use today as an office building. It was designed in 1980 by High Martin & Partners, the architectural firm for whom the artist worked.

An architectural drawing of St Nicholas House, a 1930s Art Deco building on the corner of St Nicholas Street and High Street in the heart of Bristol. It was originally built as a banking headquarters, and is recognisable for its curved facade. Today St Nicholas House is a co-working space owned by The Office Group; the interiors have been remodelled in an Art Deco-inspired style, in honour of the building's architectural origins.
Edmund J Thring was an architectural perspectivist who produced over 2,500 perspectives in his lifetime. He spent much of the Second WorId War in the Photographic Reconnaissance Interpretation Unit at RAF Nuneham Park, interpreting aerial photographs and making models.

Oriel Square in the afternoon. Two undergraduates lean against the walls of Oriel College, talking, and another group make their way inside. Vintage cars (dating the picture to the 1920s, or 1930s?) are parked outside its gates, and the Oriel flag flies high.
Bernard Cecil Gotch was a Winchester-born artist who is best known for his atmospheric watercolours of Britain's towns and cities (most notably Oxford).
He moved to Oxford in 1927, painting many watercolours of the interiors and exteriors of Oxford’s many buildings. His works concentrate on the grand exteriors and interiors of the University's colleges, and he exhibited frequently - including an exhibition every term at Oriel College.

Both 72d Street mansions were built at about the turn of the century. The larger one, at No. 9, has been designated as a Landmark of New York by the Municipal Art Society, and a plaque on its facade bears the landmark designation. Carrere & Hastings designed the house in the late French Renaissance style.
Nicholas Solovioff (1927–1994) was an American artist.
Solovioff was a prolific illustrator, having done covers for The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction, Fortune, Sports Illustrated, Horizon, Reader's Digest and the Smithsonian Institution. He also illustrated articles in Fortune and illustrated some of the Time-Life books. He specialized in illustrating architecture, technology, science and nature. In addition to illustrations for magazines, he did technical illustration for government contracted technical manuals and architectural proposals for Philip Johnson and Skidmore, Owings and Merrill. He was the artist in residence for the Port of New York Authority. He was known for his work featuring the bar at Oscar's Delmonico also known as Delmonico's.
Solovioff was educated at Harvard University, where he began studying astronomy, physics and math, but he eventually switched to art history. After obtaining a BA, he got an MFA from Harvard and all but completed a Ph.D. as well. He taught art history, drawing, painting and sculpture at the Fogg Museum of Art while working towards a Ph.D. He also taught at the Parsons School of Design.
