Douglas W. Trowbridge (American, b. 1928) is a watercolor painter from Missouri. He obtained a degree in Commercial Art and Graphic Design from Art Instruction School, Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is a member of several watercolor associations, including the American Watercolor Society, Kansas Watercolor Society (1971), and Watercolor West (1981).
Honors: 1st Place-Professional Watercolor - Kansas State Fair - 1972.
Patron Purchase Award from Midwestern Print Makers Association in 1973.
Permanent Collection Purchase Award from San Bernardino Art Association in 1979.
1st Place at Watercolor West International Watercolor Exhibit - Riverside, Calif. 1981.
50 Regional and 4 International Awards for Graphic Design from the Society of Technical Publications 1984-1997.
Received Special Award at Kansas State Fair in 2003.
Received 1st Place, a Special Purchase Award for Permanent Collection at C.A.S.A., and 3 Purchase Awards in the Hutchinson, Kansas Art Fair in 2006.
Won Best of Show and a Purchase Award at the Arkansas City Prairie Festival and Best of Show Watercolor purchased for the Arkansas City Art Council's Permanent Collection - 2006.
