Undated but likely painted between 1911-1913, when the artist was studying in Paris at the Académie Colarossi. Rinaldo Cuneo first studied at the Mark Hopkins Institute under Gottardo Piazzoni and Arthur Matthews. He subsequently furthered his studies in London and, later, at the Académie Colarossi in Paris.
