A watercolor of lush, variegated greens make up this forested trail of cypress and oak trees, a natural wonderland for any coastal walk. Signed by artist, František Salamánek, and dated 1983, in bottom right corner. Mat Size: 28"H x 20"W Paper Size: 18"H x 15"W
Salamánek, František (Czech, b. 1908) graduated from the School of Applied Arts in Prague and painted the countryside, known for his landscape art. He was a private pupil of Aloise Kalvody in Běhařov and a participant in a number of exhibitions. He was born in Doubravčice, lived in Prague-Michli, then settled in the village of Pikovice, today the local part of the village of Hradištko.
