Serene seascape of sailboats in the harbor by Pacific Northwest Artist Ramona Hammerly (American, 20th Century). Presented in a giltwood frame. Signed "R. Hammerly" lower left. Image: 20"H x 23"W. Framed: 28.5"H x 30.5"W.
Ramona Hammerly studied printmaking at Jefferson Community College, received a BS in Physics from University of Washington. Ms. Hammery gained high acclaim for her illustration of the book, "Northwest Trees" by Stephen Arno, 1977. She is a member of Northwest Watercolor Society, Guild of Natural Science Illustrators, and Artists Gallery Northwest. Ms Hammerly's drawings, watercolors and paintings are represented in numerous private collections

Stellman moved to CA in 1901. By 1920 he had settled in San Francisco where he worked both as an artist and a writer for the Call-Bulletin newspaper. Presented in a wooden frame with a light gray mat.
After graduating from the Kansas City Art Institute and moving to San Francisco, Robert Morgan (American, 20th/21st Century) returned to Provincetown to study watercolor with the late Lee Boynton at the Cape Cod School of Art. He then began taking workshops at the Fine Arts Work Center with Jim Peters, Robert Henry and Gregory Amenoff, among others. He now sells his artworks through the Alden Gallery, opened by film writer and Banner Arts Editor Howard Karren and business partner, Stephen Syta, in 2007. Morgan’s subject matter is largely influenced by Provincetown, mostly consisting of men in relationship to the beach, the town and each other.

Allen Tucker, was an architect and painter so influenced by Vincent Van Gogh that he was called "Vincent in America". (Gerdts 291) Robert Henri and Maurice Prendergast were also credited as having an influence on Tucker's brushwork and compositions, the latter decisively. However, as his painting evolved, he did not fit into any tidy slot for description and was known as an individualist not easily categorized in American art history.
Tucker was born in Brooklyn in 1866 and graduated from the School of Mines of Columbia University with a degree in architecture and took a job as an architectural draftsman in the architectural firm of McIvaine and Tucker, his fathers business. During that time, he studied painting at the Art Students League with Impressionist John H. Twachtman, but it was not until around 1904, when he was 38, that Tucker became a full-time painter, leaving architecture behind. Many of his early canvases were classically Impressionistic with poplar trees resembling those of Van Gogh and haystacks and corn shocks...
