It is hand signed, dated and titled in pencil by the artist. The drawing size is 24 x 18.75 inches, sheet size is 25.25 x 19.75 inches. It is in excellent condition. 3 small pieces of tape remaining on the back.
About the artist:
Barbara Gawdzik-Brzozowska (born on 6th April 1927 in Katowice, died 29 April 2010 in Zakopane) - Polish painter, graphic artist, illustrator. Graduate of the Professional School of Tailoring in Kraków and the Faculty of Painting and Graphic Arts of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków. She received a diploma in painting from Prof. Eugeniusz Eibisch's (1949) and a diploma in graphic design from Konrad Srzednicki's (1952). From 1955 she lived in Zakopane. She made illustrations, drawings, wall paintings, architectural design and applied design. In 1952-1974 she was an illustrator for Wydawnictwo Literackie and Polskie Wydawnictwo Muzyczne. She designed fashion, furniture, woolen toys and wood-forged jewellery. Participant of over 150 group exhibitions in Poland and abroad. Winner of many Polish and foreign awards and distinctions. The work of Barbara Gawdzik Brzozowska is held in collections worldwide.

Artist biography:
Belgian artist Paul Delvaux was born in Liège in eastern Belgium. Despite Delvaux’s desire to become an artist, his lawyer father encouraged him to train as an architect at the prestigious Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts in Brussels.
Thanks to private art tuition undertaken alongside his architectural studies, in 1925 Delvaux gained his first solo exhibition in Brussels. Heavily influenced by contemporary Expressionism and Surrealism, Delvaux was soon drawn to the ‘metaphysical’ paintings of Italian artist Giorgio de Chirico.
