About the Item
My non-objective watercolor compositions come from the dynamic interplay
between medium and mind—a visual language where color, form, and
movement exist for their own sake, liberated from representational constraints.
Working with watercolor and gouache allows me to embrace both intention and
chance as equal partners in the creative process.
I am fascinated by the way pigment behaves when given freedom to follow its
own nature—pooling, bleeding, granulating—creating microcosms that echo
larger patterns. Each painting begins with a deliberate gesture but evolves
through a conversation between my intuitive choices and the medium’s inherent
properties.
Through layered transparencies, controlled edges, and negative spaces, I
create compositions that invite contemplation rather than interpretation. The
resulting works operate on an emotional frequency, speaking directly to the
viewer’s sense of harmony, tension, rhythm, and balance without the
intermediary of recognizable imagery.
My process embraces both precision and surrender—calculated risks followed
by moments of letting go. This duality creates works that feel sboth composed
and discovered.
These paintings don’t represent the world we see but instead offer glimpses
into internal landscapes and emotional states that exist beyond language. They
invite viewers to slow down, to observe subtle relationships, and to experience
color and form as worthy subjects of deep attention in themselves.
