Casematte 3 is an original work realized by the Italian artist Caterina Pini (Milan, 1968). Caterina Pini was born in Milan in 1968. From 2009 to 2015 she lives in Paris and works in an artist studio and the she moves to Rome. In 2010 she has her first personal exhibition in Varese at the DuetArt Gallery, “Altre voci, altre stanze”. In 2011 she participates at the collective “Lo stato dell’Arte” for the 54th Biennale of Venice, at the Palazzo della Regione Lombardia in Milan. In 2016 she has a personal exhibition “Per cause naturali” at the Spazio LeoLab in Trieste. In 2020 she participates at the collective “The Milky Way” at the Franco Noero Gallery in Turin.

About the Artist
Born in Venezuela, Yelitza Diaz;s life has been wrapped in the arts since childhood. She founded a gallery with her husband, who is also an artist, and was successful for many years until the crime and corruption in the local government became unbearable. They now live in South Carolina, where she makes art that explores human existentialism and the political and social developments of her native country. Her sculptures are made with ceramic techniques using a minimalist contemporary style. Fun fact: Yelitza designed the town seal for her native Municipio Falc;n in Venezuela.
