Image: 17.5" H x 17.5" W; frame: 30" H x 30.25" W x 3" D. Provenance: Eva Bouzard-Hui artist estate. Note: Eva Bouzard-Hui (American, 1936-2023) artist, teacher, and philanthropist earned a degree in Art Education from University of South Carolina and a Master’s degree from Columbia University in 1961. The award-winning artist taught art for decades in the United States and China; after retirement, she also taught art to inmates in New Jersey.

Married to ceramicist Ka Kwong Hui for decades, she imparted her expertise not only across the United States but also received a grant from the Geraldine R. In her retirement, she extended her dedication to underserved communities, providing transformative art instruction to inmates at the East Jersey State Prison, demonstrating the profound power of art as a tool for rehabilitation and personal growth.
