About the Item
Leila Olga Sabine Edwige Pissarro born 27th July 1963, is a French contemporary artist who lives in London, she is the great granddaughter of the impressionist painter Camille Pissarro. As a child Leila learnt the fundamentals of impressionist and post impressionist painting, attributions passed down generations of a family of talented and lauded great artists. Her work is regularly exhibited throughout the World and primarily at the Stern Pissarro Gallery in London. This picture is acrylic with diamond dust on paper, which resonates with the contemporary art scene in London familiar in the late 1990's, this work was produced in 2006 and is still depicted as contemporary today as when it was first produced, this work is as timeless in subject as in it's production which will reverberate with various collectors of contemporary art. The name Pissarro is synonymous with the greatest artistic talent of the 19th and 20th Centuries and this picture is an addition and a compliment to the tradition of certainly one of the most talented families of artists in the history of art and which as you see is still ongoing this very day.
