She reflects on the reliability of images and a melancholic nostalgia — “a longing to return to a place I have never been.” The artist raises questions about the possibilities of conveying memory and the relationship between image and truth, constructing a visual interpretation of a time period she never knew through her paintings.

Due to the size of the work and in order to reduce shipping costs, we recommend shipping it rolled in a tube, with the canvas removed from the stretcher bars. The wooden stretcher parts will be packed and shipped together with the artwork for easy re-stretching upon arrival.
