Brother, yes brother... it used to be you and I, I wonder what happened to us, these were the days when life was so simple, we laughed, ate drank and forgave sincerely each other's grudges. I know life happens even to the best of us, distance, dreams, pursuit of purpose, chasing the bag and sometimes fate... It feels so distant these days, I'm not asking for life to go back to how it used to be cos this is a journey, but somehow I wish we could see eye to eye, have a good laugh on some food and drinks and feel deep love and emotions that once was.
This is my long-awaited letter I've always wanted to write to you, words I've been yearning to say...I love you, brother.

About the Artist:
Le Closier is a Belgian painter living in New York. After moving to Paris in the early 2000's, mixing Pop Art and Street Art, he started painting on the walls of his Montparnasse neighborhood in Paris (famous in the 50's for being the gathering point of writers and painters i.e Jean-Paul Sartre, Simone de Beauvoir, Picasso, Matisse, Cézanne, Modigliani....).
A few years later, Le Closier made official portraits for tennis players Serena Williams, Kei Nishikori, Gustavo "Guga" Kuerten, Bryan Brothers, David Goffin, Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Jeremy Chardy, American golf player Cristie Kerr and Paris-Saint-Germain's president Nasser Al-Khelaifi (among others).

"Ben-day Sophia 1" Mixed media, Acrylic, spray paint, pigmented ink 36x28 canvas
By Ceravolo
Located in Southampton, NY
"Benday Sophia 1" pays tribute to those paintings that became the trademark of Ceravolo's unique and trend setting style of painting. His work is collected worldwide and is in many important collections including, Sir Elton John, Rod Stewart, Hugh Hefner and Prince Jefri of Brunei to name only a few. In addition to those, his paintings came to popular attention when he was commissioned to create 5 large scale paintings for the lobby of The Palladium Theatre in New York City.
In this painting, Ceravolo has featured an image of his pop art painting of Sophia Loren, and combined it with a pattern of benday dots to create the basis of "Benday Sophia 1". He then paints his trademark brush strokes and textures on the canvas over the pop art portrait. Then, he paints the "floating" illusion that creates the 3d floating effect he is known for.
The Canvas measures 36x28".
