About the Item

Melanie Sherman Cup with big Japanese Vase, Sideboard with Bowls and Vases with Flowers, Armchair with Bird 2025 Porcelain, Glaze, Underglaze, Overglaze, Vintage Transfers, 23k German Gold Luster Wheel Thrown, hand painted Fired to cone 6 and multiple 018 firings, electric, oxidation Size: 4 x 5 x 4 inches (10.16 x 12.7 x 10.16 cm) Capacity: 16 oz Signed COA provided This porcelain coffee mug (also perfect as a teacup with handle) is a functional piece of ceramic art, capturing quiet, cozy moments—like resting beside a sideboard filled with vases and flowers, or nestled near a collection of decorative bowls. The surface design features a finely illustrated large Japanese vase with a lush bouquet, alongside an armchair patterned with vintage florals and a cheerful yellow bird, evoking the warmth and charm of an intimate, story-filled interior. Each mug is wheel-thrown and hand-painted, crafted using a rich layering of underglaze transfers, glaze, overglaze, metallic lusters, and vintage ceramic decals. These materials and techniques come together to create a richly textured, visually striking surface that blends technical precision with narrative whimsy. Fired to cone 6 in oxidation, with multiple additional low-temperature firings at cone 018, this piece offers both durability and artistic complexity. This mug is food safe, but due to its metallic luster decoration, it should not be placed in the microwave or dishwasher. For longevity, please gently hand wash with a soft sponge and non-abrasive soap. porcelain coffee mug, ceramic art, teacup with handle, hand-painted mug, wheel-thrown pottery, Japanese vase design, floral illustration, cozy home decor, decorative ceramics, underglaze transfers, overglaze decoration, metallic luster, vintage ceramic transfers, cone 6 oxidation, cone 018 firing, food safe mug, no microwave use, hand wash recommended, floral armchair motif, whimsical ceramic design, Melanie Sherman
