Girona. Original unique ceramic piece.
La Bisbal d'Empordà, capital of the Baix Empordà region, is a town with a long pottery and pottery tradition for centuries, as well as one of the most important pottery centers in Spain. Vilà Clara Ceramista is one of the ceramic families of the city. It was founded in 1950 by Josep Vilà i Clara, and since then it has continued on a generational basis until now. Vilà Clara elaborates mainly decorative ceramics for the home and in parallel unique pieces of author. La Bisbal pottery is made with local red clay that is cooked in two firings at high temperatures, using the most traditional techniques but with a design and decoration of their own and current. Through research and technique, Vilà Clara Ceramistes gets a range of colors and enamels to decorate the pieces, as well as a series of original designs. A high level of rigor, quality and concern for the finish of the product make a difference, offering a personalized ceramic piece with a very careful finish. All the pieces are characterized by the signature of the author and are manually decorated one by one in the workshop itself.
