The iconic Penelope Cruz is an obvious candidate for the list of celebrities Verglas gets in front of his lens. He captured the actress's sensual side in this black-and-white nude portrait. New York City-based photographer Antoine Verglas was born in Paris, France. He began his career on the other side of the camera, working as the host of a popular French television show after graduating from France’s prestigious E.S.C School of Business. Verglas then had the idea that would be his entree to the fast paced world of fashion photography. It was then, in 1990, when Verglas moved to New York with his camera and his vision. Pluck and pertinence paid off with a documentary-style photo series for French Elle, which featured the country's top models. Shooting Stephanie Seymour, Linda Evangelista, Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, and Cindy Crawford at home in very personal portraits just as they were reaching celebrity status was his first big break and indicative of the style that has become the Verglas signature. His photographs have appeared internationally in Elle, Vogue, GQ, Esquire, and Sports Illustrated, to name a few.

Antoine Verglas
Antoine Verglas was born in Paris, France. He began his career on the other side of the camera, working as the host on a popular French television show after graduating from France’s prestigious E.S.C School of Business. Verglas then had the idea that would be his entree to the fast-paced world of fashion photography. His photographs have appeared internationally in the editions of Elle, Vogue, GQ, Esquire, Sports Illustrated, just to name a few.
