Two nude males lie on a bare wood floor. The angle of the photograph suggests that their bodies have melded into one. The artist uses traditional photography methods shooting the image on film. The image is printed using traditional darkroom techniques. Doug Birkenheuer has devoted his talent and vision to photography for over twenty years. Birkenheuer received his Associates Degree from the Antonelli Institute of Photography in Cincinnati, OH in 1988. He relocated to Chicago in 1994, where he has built a reputation for exacting professionalism in commissioned head shots & individual, couple and group Portraits. In recent years, he has taught photography courses at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, exciting a new generation with his passion.
