This photograph is signed by the photographer. Erica Lennard was born in New York, and began her career in Paris. Lennard is particularly known for her photographs of gardens, and her first book on the subject, Artist’s Gardens, was published in 1992. She has continued to photograph landscapes and formal gardens throughout Europe and Asia while also leading a successful career as a portrait and fashion photographer. Lennard photographed most of the ad campaigns for American designer Perry Ellis in the 1970s and 1980s.
