John Bryson
John Bryson was a prolific photojournalist, who spent eight years as a photographer and photo editor at Life Magazine before turning freelance. He is renowned for candid and dynamic celebrity portraits and had an innate ability to win the trust and affection of the rich and famous. His book The Private World of Katharine Hepburn is a seminal and celebrated work. Bryson also photographed Ernest Hemingway (famously kicking a beer-can in the snow), Elizabeth Taylor, Clint Eastwood, Frank Sinatra, John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, Nikita Khrushchev and Salvador Dali wearing a crown of sausages.
