Born 1981 in Vänersborg, Sweden, Lina Scheynius currently lives and works in London.
Touchingly casual, Lina Scheynius captures scenes from her daily life, exploring and observing friends, lovers, and herself in with an arresting honesty. Uniquely voyeur and participant at once, the surprisingly strong sexual undertone and refreshingly explicit but poised nudity in her work challenges traditional theories of the female role as the inactive and objectified. Documentary and momentary, Scheynius’ world of images is a deeply personal and frank visual diary wholly representational of the current zeitgeist. By way of a narrative fluidity her images transport the onlooker into the artist’s intimate world, sharing some of the most private details of her life.
Her works where shown in several solo and group exhibitions for e.g. "Exhibition 01", Christophe Guye Galerie, Zurich; "Male Nudes – Female Desires", Galerie Tanya Wagner, Berlin; "What's next? The future of the photography", Foam Museum, Amsterdam; Stockholms kulturfestival and "Various Photographs" curated by Tim Barber at the New York photo festival. Currently her works are shown at Het NutsHuis in Den Haag and during the European Month of Photography at MUSA in Vienna. Her solo show at Taka Ishii Gallery Photography/Film in Tokyo opened in December 2014.
In 2012 Scheynius has a weekly column for ZEITMagazin , following in the footsteps of Jürgen Teller.

Lina Scheynius
Lina Scheynius lives in London. Born in 1981, she left Sweden at 19 to become a model. In 2002, she began the intimate and delicate photographic work that she pursues today. She works for magazines, regularly publishes photo books and has already had several major monographic exhibitions. In 2012, she was guest of honor at Die ZEIT, for a carte blanche every week for one year. In 2019, Jean Boîte Éditions publishes the complete box set, which brings together all her photographic self published books from 2008 to today. She produces stunning shots of nudes, still life, and intimate self-portraits. Raw sexuality and naked bodies punctuate her work, often depicting her close friends, lovers, and herself.

Originally from Excelsior, Minnesota, Erik Madigan Heck (*1983) is one of the youngest and most promising American fashion photographers of the contemporary art scene. In his relatively short career the artist developed a personal way of looking at fashion, as Nathalie Herschdorfer underlines in her essay "Minimal and pure: Erik Madigan Heck fashion photographs". His work is characterized by a clear and distinctive treatment of colours and patterns, which makes it unequivocal.
"Heck’s photographs push the concept to new limits, creating imagery that goes beyond traditional fashion photography. Meticulously constructed and enhanced with bright colours, blurring the line between the clothes and the background, his images play with this idea of ‘future’ silhouettes". – Nathalie Herschdorfer
In 2017 Heck published his first monograph with Thames & Hudson and Abrams Books titled 'Old Future'. In his 'Old Future' series Madigan Heck explores the intersection of photography and painting as he borrows from and bends the genres of fashion photography, landscape painting and portraiture.
