Mitchell Funk displays an unparalleled ability to translate a drab street scene into a dimensional and compelling image. A Red Eye Pigeon is captured against a facade illuminated with golden light and juxtaposed with a cool metallic blue against a magical orange. Signed and dated and numbered lr recto, 3/15, another size available, unframed, printed later, Printed on Hahnemühle Fine Art paper.
Mitchell Funk is a pioneer of " Color Photography" In 1970 he participated in one the first " Color Photography" shows at a major museum. Brooklyn Museum, show "Images en Couleur" . 1971 He was included in the visionary book "Frontiers of Photography" Time-Life. Color ! American Photography Transformed. Amon Carter Museum. He has had more than 50 Photography Magazine Covers and has had covers on Newsweek, Fortune, New York Magazine and Life Magazine among others.
